He has successfully shown at Training Level dressage getting a respectable 62.69% his first time out. Augie is really starting to enjoy jumping and he does have an amazing amount of jump in him. I think with a rider to give him more confidence (since I am a wimp over fences), he will excel in hunters or eventing. Needs a home: Thunder is a 10 year old Tb gelding that we got in September as a sale project. He was an event horse and had some experience in the jumper ring. Last summer I showed him in some local Hunter shows, at Devon in the hunt teams and at a few jumper shows in the 3’6”- 3’9” successfully. Unfortunately about 7months ago he came in from the field with an injury. He tore a ligament and pulled a piece of bone with it and the pastern joint surface is very jagged. It is heartbreaking to say that I am no longer in a position where I can continue to support him. I am hoping that this may get out to enough people that maybe someone will know someone who is interested in adopting him. The vet did say that he could be turned out in a field and could still have a chance to come sound; it would just take a lot more time (a year or more) and a bit of luck. We did recently jog for the vet and she was happy with how he looks so far.
